Dissolvable fabric

I decided to create a Pasley inspired piece using water soluble fabric.
I used a red velvet piece for the background as I wanted the final piece to be more bold.
I then cut up blue, yellow, purple and green pieces of ribbon and sprinkled them on top. After that. I layed the piece of water solluble fabric on top before I started stitching.
I then stitched my patterns into it on the sewing machine with yellow and blue threads. These colours will really stand out on top of the red velvet fabric. the stitching will also trap the pices of ribbon aswell.
After I had finished, I put my piece in a bowl of warm water. This dissolved the water solluble fabric.
The piece looked really pretty!
To make it stand out even more, I cut into the piece to make it stand out more. Here is my finished piece:
