Hello everyone, I am Emily Georgia Mcilveen... an 18 year old 6th form student from Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy! I study Textiles, art and French at A-level. My subjects really compliment each other and my art skills really help me when designing fabrics, stitching patterns and mixing colours. I am very passionate about textiles and enjoy stitching in my free time. Everything around me is my inspiration and I would love to inspire others with my work too. I hope you enjoy my blog! <3

Textile Treasure Seaker!
What a beautiful and inspiring blog page. I love all the beautiful and handcrafted pieces.
The blog page is by Katy, a very talented woman:
'I'm dotty about textiles. I love fabric, buttons, vintage fashion and scouring the country for vintage textile treasures. I have my own company (aptly named after my blog!), selling the vintage-inspired textile pieces I hand make myself, as well as all sorts of vintage sewing and textiles-related treasures that I find on my travels. I'm a freelance writer in the fabulous world of textiles too and I couldn't resist writing my own blog about the things I love the most...'
Please take a look. You will love what you see!

DANIEL O´RIORDAN
Biography
Daniel O’Riordan was trained and works in Bath. He has worked as a Ceramic Artist, Interior Designer, and Lecturer in Three-Dimensional Design and Contemporary Craft. In 2008 he decided to take a two-year sabbatical from full-time teaching to try and synthesis his own practice and develop new work and working methods. O’Riordan became interest in new technology whilst teaching, but often found the results to be sterile and other worldly. His aim is to take a ‘craft’ approach to the use of technology and rapid prototyping, experimenting and manipulating the processes involved in the production of objects.
His work is incredible!! It really catches your eye.
I love the beautiful bold colours he has used too. The light reflection is incredible!
I wish my lamp shades looked like these.

MET GALA!
I really enjoy taking sneaky peeks at celebrities at main events, especially the 'MET GALA'.
I love looking at the outfits and also their guessing the designer.
Guess who designed this little number:
Thats right... Vivienne Westwood.
This outfit basically screams Westwood! When you see tartan on a runway, you just know it will be a piece from the rock chic's manikin.
Here are a few pieces from the MET that I really loved, they are beautiful pieces...
A huge no no:
I loved that fact that Madonna did go with the theme of rock chic, wearing a piece by Givenchy, but I think that she took it a bit too far....
I think that she could pull off something much more classier then this.
Karolina Kurkova and Kirsten Stewart... a big NO from me...
I also took a look at the outfit choice by Katy Perry and for some reason, I had images of the artist 'Klimt''s work spinning through my head.
Katy, it's a thumbs down from me.

♡ Vintage Love ♡
Things of quality have no fear of time...
I am absolutely in love with vintage pieces... especially pieces like these!
Another thing that I adore... floral, I happen to have a cupboard in my room which is overflowing with floral fabric swatches!
These images were from https://www.facebook.com/myvintagegirls - shabby chic shed!
I absolutely love the work that they do to give old pieces a beautiful, flawless, vintage look!
Please take a look at their page,
love Emily <3

New creations!
I have decided that I am going to start creating new things with scrap/recycled fabrics and jewelry.
I have spent the week sewing, cutting and stitching! and these are my final pieces...
I have made broaches, bracelets, necklaces and pincushions! All feed back would be brilliant.
Please give your opinions and suggestions. It would be a great help!
